My Mentors

There are quite a few definitions / explanations / elaborations for the term Mentor. I'd like to share some here.

The original Mentor is a character in Homer’s epic poem The Odyssey. When Odysseus, King of Ithaca went to fight in the Trojan War, he entrusted the care of his kingdom to Mentor. Mentor served as the teacher and overseer of Odysseuss’son, Telemachus.

My guess is that the the King of Ithaca understood that Mentor had some really exceptional qualities in him so he entrusted the care of his kingdom and his son to Mentor. Either that or the King of Ithaca was very dumb, quite a scary thought that, but having said that Kings in those days were normally shrewd, clever and manipulative to say nothing of ruthless people (all the necessary ingredients) to be King, hence lets assume that Mentor was a very special person.

In my personal and professional life, my most valuable assets are my mentors. In then, I believe I've been singularly blessed. In my very early experiences of being mentored I must confess that I did not recognize what was happening to me and actually forgot to thank my mentors. Subsequently, ( one does grow up and learn ) I have gotten wise and I never ever forget to thank my mentors for the invaluable assistance they provide me free of all costs.

Some of my mentors insisted that I do not publicly mention them. I respect that. They are truly special people and via this page on my website I wish to say an anonymous Thank you, God bless you all and may your tribe increase.

Having done that, I'd now like to write about a few others who have mentored me in the past, and continue to mentor me whenever I require help. I've asked their permission to write about then and which has been graciously granted. I know I will never be in a position to pay them back. I promise here to pay this debt Forward.

Jarom Adair

Jarom runs an on-line business that teaches business owners to take their business online.

He is an internet marketer turned real estate investor who, by combining these two fields in unique ways, enjoys mentoring aspiring investors and business owners to success. Jarom is the only person I know of who is available on Skype five days a week for a solid two hours each day where you can join in a conference call and actually talk to Jarom about the problems you want sorting out and he provides the most sensible advice, delivered in simple to understand ways. Jarom really likes to assist people and does so, on a very personal level.

Do take a quick look at Jarom's website. You will not regret the time you spend there. I didn't.

Do spend sometime listening to Jarom's podcasts. It was after listening to several of Jarom's podcasts that I decided to start of my mentee relationship with him. I've not regretted it.
